The Fluency Way Speaking Club is a friendly, supportive place where children practise English. There are no long explanations or pages of written exercises: most of each session is devoted to games, dialogues, stories, creative tasks and team activities.
Every session has a clear topic, such as animals, travel, food, favourite characters, inventions or celebrations. Children learn useful words and phrases, then use them immediately to communicate.
The club complements core lessons by activating familiar knowledge, increasing exposure to English and helping children speak more freely over time. Groups are formed by age and similar ability so tasks feel manageable and communication stays comfortable.
Who the Speaking Club is for
The sessions will benefit your child if they:
Understand familiar words but feel shy about answering
Know vocabulary passively and need more practice using it
Want to improve pronunciation and listening comprehension
Enjoy games, creativity, stories and team tasks
Learn more readily through movement and interaction than rote memorisation
Want to communicate with peers in English
Need extra motivation and a positive experience of using English.
Benefits of joining the Speaking Club
More speaking practice
Every child answers questions, joins dialogues, describes, explains, chooses and reaches agreements with others in English.
An active vocabulary
New words are learnt through stories, games and real-life situations, not isolated lists. Repetition across different activities helps children start using them independently sooner.
Better listening comprehension
Children listen to the teacher, peers, short audio and video, learning to understand the main idea and respond without constant translation.
Pronunciation and intonation
Songs, rhymes, language games and short dialogues help children practise sounds, word stress and natural intonation.
Learning through stories
Language comes alive
Stories, characters and images make meaning clear without tedious memorisation.
01
Less fear of mistakes
At the club, mistakes are a natural part of learning. The teacher offers gentle help, encourages every attempt and creates situations that make children want to speak.
Motivation to learn
Children see the practical value of English: they can play, joke, talk about themselves, create something together and discover new things.
Social skills
In pairs and teams, children learn to listen, wait their turn, ask questions, reach agreements and respect other people’s views.
Self-confidence
Regular small successes help children answer more boldly in lessons and use English more actively outside the classroom.

Speaking Club FAQs
Can my child attend the club without taking the main course?
Yes, if their level matches the group and a place is available. The teacher may arrange a short introductory meeting or placement test first.
Is the club suitable for a beginner?
Yes, when there is a separate beginner group. Children receive pictures, ready-made phrases, model answers and enough time to join in without pressure.
Does the teacher correct mistakes?
Yes, but gently and without interrupting every phrase. The teacher helps the child repeat the correct version, offers a prompt and supports their desire to keep speaking.
Is there homework?
The club does not usually set substantial compulsory homework. Children may receive a few words, a short game or a creative task for optional review.
How can I tell whether my child is making progress?
The teacher observes how actively the child participates, whether they answer more quickly, use new phrases and understand others more easily. Parents can receive brief progress feedback at intervals.
