Ages 12 to 17 are an important stage in learning English. Teens begin to think about future careers, choose their next steps in education and take their first considered steps towards independence.
Ages 12 to 17 are an important stage in learning English. Teens begin to think about future careers, choose their next steps in education and take their first considered steps towards independence.
At the same time, traditional school exercises and rote learning often stop feeling engaging. Teens need to understand why a topic matters and how they can use what they learn in real life.
That is why English lessons for teens at Fluency Way centre on current topics, active communication and practical tasks. We use modern coursebooks, digital tools, videos, articles and original materials to keep students engaged and show them the real value of English.
Our goal is to make learning comfortable, meaningful and effective, helping your child fill gaps in their knowledge and use English confidently at school and in everyday life.
Your teen will feel at home in our lessons if
You want them to use English confidently when travelling, studying, using social media and enjoying content in English
You feel the school curriculum alone is not enough for confident English
Your child has gaps in grammar, vocabulary or listening comprehension
Your teen knows the rules but finds them difficult to use in conversation
Your child feels shy speaking English or worries about making mistakes
They want to develop the skills to communicate with peers in English
You want learning without excessive stress or rote memorisation
Regular updates on your child’s progress matter to you
Your teen is planning to travel, study or live abroad.
What to know about Fluency Way lessons
Level assessment
Every student takes an initial placement test. It shows their current level, highlights strengths and identifies areas that need more attention.
Groups are formed by age and English level so everyone can learn, communicate and work together comfortably.
Course length
A standard Fluency Way learning cycle usually includes 74–76 lessons and, with two lessons a week, covers one academic year.
This is the length of our internal programme, not a guarantee of automatically completing a full CEFR level. Pace depends on the starting level, attendance, homework and independent practice; B2+ and C1 may take longer.
Lesson format
80 minutes
Twice a week
Online
Up to 6 students per group
UAH 400 per lesson; UAH 3,200 for 8 lessons
Language of instruction
Most of the lesson is in English. The teacher selects vocabulary and explanations to suit the group’s level, helping students gradually understand spoken English and use it to communicate.
Progress checks
Students take regular progress and end-of-stage tests throughout the course. These help us track progress, spot gaps early and adjust the programme.

03
Can my child join any group?
No. Every student needs a placement test before joining.
We use the results to choose a group that matches your child’s age and level. This supports a comfortable pace and effective interaction between students.
Can my child join a group partway through the academic year?
Yes, provided there is a place available and their level matches the group’s programme.
Before joining, the student takes a placement test and the teacher decides whether they can continue comfortably alongside the group.
Are there any extra sessions?
Yes. Students can join Speaking Clubs and other supplementary activities at the right level.
What is a Speaking Club?
It is a session where students practise English in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Participants discuss engaging topics, complete interactive tasks, role-play real situations and learn to speak without fear of mistakes.
Why are group lessons effective?
In group lessons, students regularly communicate with one another in English, work in pairs and join discussions.
They learn to understand different speakers, respond more quickly and use English in natural conversation.
Does every student receive enough attention?
Yes. Groups have no more than six students, so the teacher can monitor everyone’s work, offer guidance and help with difficult topics.
Is there homework?
Yes. Homework is an important part of learning. It reviews lesson material, reinforces new vocabulary and grammar, and prepares students for the next lesson.
How do parents hear about progress?
We stay in touch with parents and share updates on attendance, lesson participation, test results and overall progress.
Learning materials
Lessons use modern coursebooks including Think, Wider World, Lift Off, GoGetter, Perspectives and Prepare. We also use English Vocabulary in Use to build an active vocabulary and Grammarway for deeper grammar work. Materials are selected for each teen’s age, level and goals.
The specific coursebook is chosen to match the student’s age, level and goals.
The core programme is supported by teacher-created presentations, worksheets, topic cards, videos, articles, tests and interactive exercises.
Combining international coursebooks with our own resources keeps lessons structured, current and engaging for teens.
Trial session
The trial follows the full 80-minute format of the chosen programme, giving the student a chance to meet the teacher and experience the group’s pace, materials and atmosphere.
The trial session is free when you purchase a package on the day of your placement test or trial.
